Current Events...

Jack's latest skill is pointing. I haven't been able to get a picture of it yet because I'm always holding him when he does it.

Still not walking, but we keep thinking it's coming soon. Crawls faster than a cockroach, so we think he may not be too interested in evolving into a bi-ped.

He's in the middle of his fifth ear infection in his thirteen months of life. He's scheduled for tubes on Monday.

Antibiotics give him the runs. And it's very stealth...doesn't smell. The beauty of that is we don't know when it happens until it's all over the kitchen floor and dripping down his legs. Luckily, in the five minutes it took us to get his clothes off and get him into the bath, Bones had "cleaned" the kitchen for us...

Went to the children's museum this week for Baby Day. For three hours every Monday they only allow 0-3 year-olds and their parents into the museum. Jack had a blast. He's pretty fearless these days when it comes to climbing things.

Checked out a storytime session at a local library for 18 month-3 year olds. I realized quickly that Jack was too young. As the other kids were rolling their arms singing "The Wheels on the Bus," Jack was crawling around trying to steal people's cell phones and making his voice known. I took him out of there and we went to a small children's play area in the front of the library. That didn't last too long either, due to a psycho 5-year-old who was pushing little babies around saying such things as "Move it, Buddy" and "I could CRUSH you." Scary. We got out of there STAT.

Had our first Little Gym class today. It is a class for 10-19 month-old babies in a gym that is full of mats, soft stairs, low parallel bars, etc. There was a certain cheesy factor to it which caused me to inwardly roll my eyes a few times, but based on the age of the target audience, I let it slide. Although I politely declined to "sing" our names when the time came. But I did state them in a clear voice. I think Jack agreed with me because when everyone else was in a circle doing some cheeseball activity, he was crawling around the joint exploring. Love that.

That's the news for now. I'm off to bed.
