More pics from "Crocodile Creek," as Lucy calls it

The rather large alligator above was hanging out in the middle of the path. As we walked around him, we were about six feet from his tail.

Half a mile around the lake, Lucy decided to pee her pants (i.e., completely soak them), so she was not too pleased during the last half mile back to the car. I think there's an old Native American saying about walking a mile in someone else's urine-soaked pants, isn't there? It's hard to see from the picture, but she has quite an impressive scowl on her face. This is the good stuff that memories are made of.

Brazos Bend State Park

On our way home from Galveston, we stopped at a state park near Houston that Todd's been wanting to go to for a while. It's full of alligators, roaming in their natural habitat. It was pretty amazing...

TBall

Jack started TBall recently. This is a "feel good" league where every kid bats twice, every kid runs one base at a time, nobody gets out, everybody scores. So the games are always 24-24. In other words, the kids aren't really learning how to play baseball...but Jack seems to have fun. Click here for a video of him batting...

According to Jack...

About a month ago when I picked up Jack from school, he got into the car and immediately took his phone (Todd's old, non-working phone...) out of his pocket and started to "make a call." When I asked him who he was calling, he said, "I'm calling Dad to tell him to get rollin' on dinner." Then he asked me to turn the music down because he said he couldn't hear his phone conversation.
