Stereotypes and Religion

Yesterday while driving home from Jack's school, he asked me where the policeman was. I said, "I don't know. Where do you think he was?" (I say this a lot now after I run out of answers to the 84 who-what-when-where-and-why questions he asks on the commute home). He said, "I don't know either. Maybe he was at the donut place."

And tonight, while sitting on the potty, he told me that Peter and Jesus walk on water.

The extent of his knowledge astounds me.

Jackisms

"It's not underwear, mom, it's britches."

After examining a skin tag I have on my arm (thanks to pregnancy), Jack said, "After the doctor takes it off, I'll be happy to touch your arm."

6:07 am, CST: "Mom!...Mom!" I get out of my cozy bed to see what he needs.
Me: "What do you need, Bud?"
Jack: "Can you pick my truck up, please?"
Me: "Why can't you pick it up?"
Jack: "Because I'm in bed and I have my covers on."
Bless his heart...

It's not a medal, Mom, it's a necklace

Tonight our Home Owners Association sponsored a fun run for the neighborhood. Jack walked/ran a mile, then followed that up with some watermelon, a burrito, some banana, and a hot dog. Maybe he'll sleep till 6 tomorrow.
