Jack's version of being an adult
At a restaurant tonight I took a picture of a couple (for them, not me...) who looked like they were probably on vacation. Jack asked me later in the car why people would want a picture from when they were on vacation. I told him it was so they could look at it later on and remember their vacation. Kind of like when I take pictures of you and Lucy when you're kids, I told him, so you can look at them when you're older.
He then asked me if he would still be a kid when he was seven. Yeah, I told him. You're going to be a kid for a LONG time still. But it's more fun to be a kid than an adult anyway.
Yeah, he said. Being an adult is boring. All you do is slap some food in the oven and let it could for like an hour, and stare straight ahead when you're driving like you're doing now. All that stuff is boring.
