Six
Happy Birthday, Jackarumpo. You've grown into such a sweet, smart kid. You just finished kindergarten, which I think you really enjoyed (even though you said that kindergarten is boring because "all you do is sit on the carpet and learn stuff"). You love to run, ride your bike, play with your friends, swim at the pool, watch cartoons, and play on the computer. Lately you've been saying "actually" and "in fact" a lot. Many things you say are quite hilarious. You can get frustrated pretty easily, but when you have fun, you REALLY HAVE FUN. And no matter what, you always give me the biggest hugs. I don't know what I'd do without you in my life, Bud. You are my Special Jack. xoxo Mom

More pics from "Crocodile Creek," as Lucy calls it

Half a mile around the lake, Lucy decided to pee her pants (i.e., completely soak them), so she was not too pleased during the last half mile back to the car. I think there's an old Native American saying about walking a mile in someone else's urine-soaked pants, isn't there? It's hard to see from the picture, but she has quite an impressive scowl on her face. This is the good stuff that memories are made of.

TBall

Jack started TBall recently. This is a "feel good" league where every kid bats twice, every kid runs one base at a time, nobody gets out, everybody scores. So the games are always 24-24. In other words, the kids aren't really learning how to play baseball...but Jack seems to have fun. Click here for a video of him batting...
According to Jack...
About a month ago when I picked up Jack from school, he got into the car and immediately took his phone (Todd's old, non-working phone...) out of his pocket and started to "make a call." When I asked him who he was calling, he said, "I'm calling Dad to tell him to get rollin' on dinner." Then he asked me to turn the music down because he said he couldn't hear his phone conversation.
