Becker Cousins

Haven't had time to sort through Janie's 4,146 pictures of our family trip to Milwaukee, so in the meantime I stole pics off of Kim's blog...(great choices, Kimmy)

More Pumpkin Patch Pics

Jack was pretty proud of the flowers he picked. As soon as we got home, he organized the cup of flowers and all our pumpkins on the front porch. Later, when I told him that our neighbor friends were coming over to carve pumpkins, he said, "After we're done carving, each girl will get one flower. But no arguing. You get what you get and you don't throw a fit. You get what I give you. You can't say, 'I want pi-ink...'" (At that point I had already walked away...)

Couple Things...

Today Lucy put two words together for the first time: "Bye-bye, Da-Da." Genius.

And a funny story completely unrelated to that...tonight Jack said of his teacher from last year (who he was a bit obsessed with), "Megan looked beautiful today. I hope she does again. She was wearing a pony tail on each side and it was all tangled up like a fruit snack."

Omaha Girls

In true form, I didn't bring my camera to Omaha, so I stole this off of Kelly's blog.

Clown pants and playgrounds

It seems like just yesterday Carrie was pregnant with all five...

Fire Coat: Check; Winter Coat: Check; Life Jacket: Check; Fire Helmet: Check. Good to go.

The hats stayed on for 1.3 minutes

Football season is upon us

At the playground this morning, Jack told me that since I had to concentrate while pushing him and Lucy on the swings, he would let me know if a fire truck went by.

After he jumped off the swing, he said that he wouldn't jump off again because his new shirt would get messed up and he wanted to make sure that he looked handsome when he got to Joe's house for the football game. But he did say that if his shirt got all squiggly and bumpy he could just flatten it out with his hands. He prefers his shirts tucked in, by the way.

Videos

I snuck (sneaked?) into Lucy's room while Jack was reading to her and took this video...

This is a video of Jack and Lucy playing with her slide. Jack also does a rendition of his new hit single, "I Shake My Bottom," which is actually a re-make of another one of his songs with the same title.

Invasion of a superhero

Since Jack has outgrown the Disney paintings I made for him before he was born, I finally finished a new one. Unfortunately I promised another one, so I better get crackin...
